Here comes another part of my "catching up with my travel entries" series. This time it's about my prolonged weekend spent at the Austrian Alps at Dachstein glacier in March.
The first half of the stay the weather was so-so but the last two days it turned really hot and sunny. Which on the other hand made the snow really heavy fast and hard to ride. Still I spent few nice days of skiing.
Personally I wouldn't call Dachstein a perfect skiing destination but for a short visit it was ok. The variety of tracks is limited and the difficult ones, which I prefer, are scarce. Fortunately the last day we found a nice black slope and romped there most of the time. We even managed to make a short video (somewhat shaky), of me riding down the hill 8-).
Pity it was the only occasion in the mountains for me this season. Because I love skiing. :-)
